The DOJ is accusing a Canadian man of illegally voting in multiple elections.

He allegedly cast ballots in 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024.

The man, Sunny Manhertz, was allegedly illegally registered to vote in Massachusetts.

Fox News reported:

A Canadian man living in Massachusetts illegally voted in multiple federal and state elections while lying about his citizenship status, federal prosecutors said.

Sunny Manhertz, a lawful permanent U.S. resident, illegally registered to vote in Saugus, Mass., and allegedly cast ballots in various local, state, primary, and federal elections in 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024, the Justice Department said.

He is charged with one count of unlawful voting by aliens and one count of the procurement, casting, or tabulation of ballots that are known to be materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent under state law.

He appeared in a Boston federal courtroom Tuesday.

Manhertz identified himself as a lawful permanent resident in 2019.

This was after registering to vote.

He faces five years in prison for one charge and another year for another.

Newsmax reported:

According to court documents, Manhertz also identified himself as a lawful permanent resident on a Department of Homeland Security immigration form filed in 2019, years after registering to vote.

If convicted, Manhertz faces up to five years in prison on the ballot fraud charge and up to one year in prison on the unlawful voting charge, along with potential fines and supervised release.
